Ornithological monitoring ongoing

In April, annual bird sampling began in the project’s intervention areas. The new open areas of the Casacce created by the interventions of the project have been colonized by the Woodlark (Lullula arborea). A pair of Accipiter gentilis, a black woodpecker (Dryocopus martius) and Dartford Warbler (Sylvia undata) were also observed. Finally, new settlements of Tawny Pipit (Anthus campestris) and new pairs of Red-backed Shrike (Lanius collurio) have been detected.
