Prescribed burn intervention
Some first images of LIFE Granatha’s prescribed burn intervention which took place on 13/01/2020 in Pratomagno.The prescribed burn is applied scrupulously following a project developed by qualified personnel. The operators are all experts in the use of fire management techniques. They only proceed in the presence of precise weather conditions (soil and air humidity, wind conditions, etc.) and in the winter season, so as not to damage the soil and wildlife.
LIFE Granatha is successfully applying the prescribed burn, as indicated by the European Union, for the protection and conservation of the heathlands and several species of birds living there. If you see smoke in the area affected by the forestry site, therefore keep in mind that it is controlled fire; it is not necessary to call the emergency numbers (800 425 425 or 115) nor to be alarmed, but if you want to request more information, you can contact the Offices of the Union of Municipalities of Pratomagno at the numbers: 055 / 9170241-239.
